1. List every charge. Work through the last 3–12 months of bank and card statements and add each recurring payment — software, hosting, insurance, memberships and utilities.
2. Normalize the cost. Let the tracker convert weekly, quarterly and yearly plans to a monthly-equivalent so you can compare them fairly and see the real total.
3. Rank by annual spend. The biggest annual-equivalent line items are where negotiation or cancellation saves the most money.
4. Cancel, downgrade or consolidate. Kill anything unused, downgrade over-specced plans, and merge duplicate tools onto one subscription.
5. Diarise renewals. Use the upcoming renewals panel so you review each subscription before it charges again, not after.
