The job has two halves. First you get a CSV out of whatever you are using now — that part
is specific to each product and is what most of this page covers. Then you upload it to the
BizziKit importer, which reads the columns, shows you what it
matched them to, and writes the records into the matching tool. The second half is the same
whatever you came from.
You do not need the column names to match anything. The importer matches your
columns against the names these products are known to use, then shows you the result so you can
correct it. A file with columns in a different order, renamed, or cut down to three of them
still works — you just set those three yourself in step 3.
What you can bring across
| What | Lands in | Fields that carry over |
| Customers & contacts |
CRM |
Name, company, email, phone, job title, status, notes. Address lines are kept in the notes field. |
| Invoices |
Invoice Builder |
Invoice number, date, due date, customer, total, tax amount, status, currency, notes. |
| Products & stock |
Inventory Manager |
SKU, name, quantity on hand, sell price, cost price, category, supplier, reorder point, warehouse. |
| Expenses & bills |
Financial & Accounting Tools |
Date, description, amount, category, payment method, notes. A plain bank statement CSV works too. |
What does not come across. These are list exports, not a ledger migration.
Your chart of accounts, bank reconciliations, journal entries, payroll history and attached
documents stay where they are. If you are mid-financial-year, keep your existing records for
that year rather than treating an import as a replacement for them.
Exporting from your current app
Menu labels in these products change, and several differ by country and by plan. If a path
below does not match what you see, look for a More, Export or
Settings control on the list you are already looking at — that is almost always
where it is. Each section links to the vendor's own help page, which will be current.
Xero
Contacts
Open Contacts and export all contacts, or a contact group, to CSV. Xero's own guidance notes this export is also what you edit and re-import when bulk-updating contacts, so it is a complete field set rather than a summary.
Invoices and bills
Xero has a dedicated export for invoices and bills. Filter to what you want first — the export follows the list you are looking at.
Inventory items
Xero exports inventory items separately. The file contains both SalesUnitPrice and PurchasesUnitPrice; the importer maps the first to sell price and the second to cost price.
Xero's import templates mark required columns with an asterisk, so you may see headers like
*ContactName. Leave them as they are — the importer ignores
the asterisk.

MYOB
The path depends on which MYOB you are on, and they are quite different.
MYOB Business (the browser one)
- Click the settings gear, then Import and export data.
- Open the Export tab and choose the data type.
- Click Export. The file saves to your Downloads folder.
MYOB AccountRight (the desktop one)
- File → Import/Export Assistant, choose Export, then Next.
- Pick Cards for customers or suppliers, or Items for stock, and choose the card type.
- On the Select Fields step, add the fields you want. Keep at least the ones marked with a caret (^) if you ever want to import the file back into MYOB.
- Click Export and save. The default filename for customers is CUST.TXT.
MYOB exports a tab-separated TXT file, not a CSV. Upload it as it is —
the importer detects tab-separated files on its own. You do not need to convert it, and you
do not need Excel's Text Import Wizard unless you want to look at it first.
MYOB's card columns are spelled Co./Last Name, Addr 1 - Line 1, - Phone # 1 and so on; these are recognised.

QuickBooks Online
Customers
Open the Customer centre, use the Excel dropdown above the list, and pick the export option — there is a CSV choice in the export window. The gear icon above the list controls which columns are included, so add the ones you want before exporting.
Invoices
- Go to Reports and search for Invoice List.
- Set the report period, then Run report.
- Click Export and choose Excel, then save it as CSV.
Everything at once
Settings → Export data lets you tick the reports and lists you want and downloads them together as a zip.
QuickBooks lets you choose your own export columns, so two exports from two accounts can
look nothing alike. That is exactly the case the mapping step handles — whatever you
ticked, you point the fields at it in step 3.

FreshBooks
Clients
Go to Clients, open More Actions and choose Export Clients. You get active and archived clients, their secondary contacts, addresses and notes. Over 1,000 clients and FreshBooks splits the export into several files of 1,000 each — import them one after another.
Invoices
Invoices → More Actions → Export Invoices, pick a date range and currency, then Download CSV. It covers active and archived invoices.
Expenses and items
Those have their own CSV exports, and most reports carry an Export for Excel option under More Actions.
Estimates and proposals are not self-serve: FreshBooks asks you to contact their support
with the date range you want and emails the file back.

Wave
Customers, vendors and bookkeeping data
- Click your business name at the top right, then Business settings.
- Under Other, click Data Export.
- Choose Accounting and wait for the email to your primary address.
- Click Download data export in that email and unzip it. The Customers file is the one you want for the CRM.
Invoices
Wave's Data Export does not include invoices. It covers customers, vendors,
journal entries and bill items. Wave's documented route for invoice data is the
Wave Connect add-on for Google Sheets, which can pull invoices including
line items and payment details — then use File → Download →
CSV in Sheets. A single invoice can also be saved from
More Actions → Print or Export as PDF, but that is a PDF, not
importable data.
The export is all-or-nothing with no date filter, so for a particular period use the Account Transactions report instead.

Zoho Books
Customers and vendors
Go to Sales → Customers (or Purchases → Vendors), click the More icon and choose Export Customers. You can export customers, contact persons or addresses, limit by period, pick CSV or XLS, and optionally password-protect the file. Personal data is only included if you tick the box for it — so tick it if you want email addresses and phone numbers.
Invoices
Sales → Invoices → More → Export Invoices, with filters for status and date range. Exports are capped at 25,000 rows at a time.
Everything at once
A full backup lives under Settings → Data Management → Backup.
Three things worth knowing before you rely on it: only an admin can run one, it can only be
run once every 15 days, and the emailed download link expires after
30 days. For a one-off move, the per-list exports above are quicker and have none
of those limits.

Something else — or a spreadsheet you keep yourself
Any CSV works. If your records live in a spreadsheet, put the column names in the first row
and save as CSV — that is all the importer needs. The columns can be in any order and
there can be extra ones it does not use.
If you are coming from a product not listed here, look for an export on the list screen itself. The words to look for are Export, Download, Export to CSV, or a More actions menu above the list.
If your export is an Excel file
Open it and save as CSV first — File → Save As → CSV in Excel, or File → Download → Comma-separated values in Google Sheets. If the workbook has several sheets, save the one you want on its own.
Then import it
- Open the importer and pick what the file holds — customers, invoices, products or expenses.
- Drop the file in. CSV or tab-separated TXT, both fine. It is read by your browser; nothing is uploaded.
- Check the columns. You will see every column it found, what it matched each to, and a sample value. Fix anything wrong from the dropdowns. If your dates could be read either way round, it asks which rather than guessing.
- Preview, then import. You see the first rows exactly as they will be stored, how many are new, and how many look like records you already have. Choose whether to skip, overwrite or keep both.
If it is not what you wanted, the Undo button on the result screen reverses the whole import.
Getting a clean result
- Start with customers. Import contacts first, then invoices. The invoices will name customers you already have, which makes the result easier to check.
- Import one list at a time rather than a combined export. Each list goes to a different tool.
- Check the preview, not the file. The preview shows the records as they will actually be stored, after the dates, numbers and categories have been interpreted. That is the thing to sanity-check.
- Watch the first row. Some exports put a report title or a date range above the column names. The importer skips those lines and tells you how many it skipped — if that number looks wrong, delete the junk rows and try again.
- Large histories are better in parts. Everything lives in your browser's local storage, which is a few megabytes. A financial year at a time is a sensible unit.
- Back up once you are happy. The dashboard's storage card exports everything to a single JSON file you can keep or move to another device.
Sources. The export paths above come from each vendor's own help documentation, linked in each section. Product interfaces change and several of these differ by country and plan, so treat the vendor page as the current authority if what you see does not match.
